How I Got Into Gaming
It started with a hand-me-down console and a copy of Sonic the Hedgehog that was scratched beyond belief. But it still worked — mostly.
I remember spending hours trying to get past the first level, failing repeatedly, and loving every second of it. That feeling of finally beating a tough section is something I’ve been chasing ever since.
The Early Years
My first proper gaming memory is watching my older brother play Ocarina of Time. I was too scared to hold the controller myself — the Stalfos were terrifying — but I was completely captivated by the world on screen.
Eventually I mustered the courage to play myself, and I’ve never looked back. From GameCube to PC, from platformers to CRPGs, my taste has evolved but the passion never faded.
Why It Matters
Gaming isn’t just a hobby for me. It’s how I unwind, how I connect with friends, and how I experience stories that stick with me for years. Some of my closest friendships started because we bonded over a shared love of a particular game.
Here’s to many more years of gaming.
